Requests arrive late, or the phone stays silent

Three settings on the phone decide whether a request can ring: notifications, full-screen alerts and the battery saver.

A request has to ring through a locked screen and a phone that is saving battery. Three settings decide it. Taxista's home screen shows an Allow row for notifications and full-screen alerts when either is missing; the battery setting is yours to change in the phone's Settings.

  • Notifications. Without them nothing rings.
  • Full-screen alerts. So a request lights the screen when the phone is locked.
  • Battery: unrestricted. In Settings › Apps › Taxista › Battery. Taxista does not ask for this itself; if requests come late, it is the first thing to change.

Some phones add their own saver on top of Android's. On Xiaomi, Huawei, Honor, Oppo and Samsung, look in the phone's battery or app settings for Taxista and set it to no restrictions or allow background activity. If a request still comes late, write to [team@taxista.app](mailto:team@taxista.app) with your phone's make and model.
